VOLUNTEER WITH US

VOLUNTEER WITH CLARKSVILLE ROLLER DERBY!

CRD runs on volunteers, and we absolutely could not make derby happen without officials, announcers, and crew. You don’t even have to skate to get involved, we’ll teach you everything you need to know for whatever role you want to try!

BECOMING A SKATING OFFICIAL

There are multiple different on-skates ref positions, and as with the new skater program, we can teach you all the skating skills you need to become an on-skates ref!

  • On-skates refs help keep derby safe and fair

  • Positions include Jam Ref, Inside Pack Ref, Outside Pack Ref, and Head Ref

  • Check out these free resources from WFTDA to learn more about on-skates officiating

In addition to skating skills, you’ll also get to practice officiating during practices and scrimmages with the team so you’re ready to start officiating with CRD and beyond! Skating officials must be 18 years or older.

Contact us for more information, or email crd.newskater@gmail.com.

BECOME A NON - SKATING OFFICIAL (NSO)

Don’t want to skate? No problem! There are even MORE Non-Skating Officials than Skating Officials in derby.

  • NSO roles include Scorekeeping, Penalty Box Timer, Penalty Lineup Tracker,  Penalty Box Manager, Jam Timer, Scoreboard Operator, and Head NSO

  • We’ll teach you everything you need to know to keep the jams running smoothly!

  • Check out these free resources from WFTDA to learn more about off-skates officiating
